Does your family need a boost?  Would you like more tools to support your student’s success?  The Strengthening Families class is a great way to support your student and spend time with your family.

The free class meets Thursdays from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. – October 18, 25, November 1, 8, 15, 29, December 6 and 13.  Each night includes dinner for the family with two hour-long sessions.  Parents meet in one group and teens in another for the first hour.  Families come back together in the second hour to engage in fun activities.

Youth Session topics include:

  • Having goals and dreams
  • Appreciating parents
  • Dealing with stress
  • Handling peer pressure
  • Following house rules
  • Reaching out to others

Family Session topics include:

  • Supporting goals and drams
  • Appreciating family members
  • Understanding family values
  • Using family meetings
  • Building family communication
  • Reaching family goals

This class is for families of 10-14-year-old youth.  In addition to dinner there will be a door prize drawing each evening and activities for children ages 3-9.
